Frequently asked questions

  • A swaddle bath will keep your baby warmer and happier than a sponge bath.

  • The TurtleTub is designed for premature infants and full-term newborns. Your baby will fit until about 2-3 months of age on average.

  • Fill the TurtleTub with water to about the height of the seat. Swirl the water as you fill to mix the hot and cold pockets of water. The indicator will be green when the temperature is in the correct range for bathing. The water is too hot if any red is illuminated.

  • The water level should be no higher than the infant’s chest, so it will vary depending on the size of the infant. The water usage range is between 1-2 gallons and 10-18 pounds, respectively.

  • Simply wash the TurtleTub with mild soap and water and dry.

  • Launder the fleece blanket in warm water and mild detergent. The fleece blanket can tumble dry in warm heat.

  • A swaddle bath is typically no longer than 7-10 minutes. Monitor the water temperature throughout the bath to ensure the infant stays warm.

  • The TurtleTub is covered under warranty for one year if used per the manufacturer's recommendations.

If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, we'll be happy to return the product within 15 days of purchase for a full refund. Items must be unopened and must still be in their original packaging with all tags attached. Returns older than 15 days will not be accepted.

  • If your pediatrician recommends keeping the umbilical cord dry, then give a more shallow bath. Simply fill the water below the level of the umbilical cord. You can continue to do a swaddle bath to keep your baby warm and happy.
